Zuckerberg on why Meta won’t launch separate app store for iPhones

Apple will allow third party app stores on its own App Store in Europe as the European Union’s new regulations are set to go into effect on March 7. Facebook-parent Meta has confirmed that it does not plan to launch an app store for iPhones. During the fourth-quarter earnings call, Mark Zuckerberg expressed that Apple's implementation of the new policies would make it difficult for any developer, including Meta, to consider the alternative app stores. Spotify CEO Daniel EK, Tim Sweeney of Epic Games, and David Heinemeier Hansson have also criticized Apple's new policies.
