The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended Air India's chief of flight safety following deficiencies found during checks conducted for critical departments. The regulator also issued a show-cause notice to the airline for lapses in internal audits and spot checks. The DGCA found deficiencies in Air India's accident prevention work and the availability of necessary technical manpower.
