BJP banks on PM Modi’s charisma to blow the bugle for BMC elections

With PM Narendra Modi arriving in the city today to lay foundation stones for infrastructure projects and launch Metro services, the Shinde-Fadnavis alliance hopes to capitalise on his charisma for the BMC elections. BJP, in particular, is keen to end the monopoly of the Thackeray-led Sena in the civic body where it has been in office since 1997.
