Air Force to induct women Agniveers from next year, IAF chief VR Chaudhari says

The central government will induct three thousand air warriors, or Agniveer Vayu, including women into the air force this year, Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari said during the celebrations of 9oth Indian Air Force Day in Chandigarh on Saturday. "IAF will induct 3,000 'Agniveer Vayu' for initial training in December through Agnipath scheme. It is an opportunity for us to harness the potential of India's youth and channelise it towards service of the nation," he said.
