In a throwback to his 2014 US visit when he won several hearts with the austere Navratri fast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday rued in a lighter vein that he couldn’t relish the famed ‘Surat nu jaman’ and Bhavnagari gathiya due to abstinence from food. Modi, an ardent devotee of Ma Amba, also performed ‘aarti’ along with CM Bhupendra Patel and governor Acharya Devvrat at state government-organized garba event at the GMDC grounds in Ahmedabad. The event was kicked off with ‘Gaay eno Garbo’, a garba song penned by PM Modi.
