In terms of driving experience, it is a very smooth car to drive and it starts in electric mode. You can drive it powered by battery only up to a certain speed though. Also, one needs to be gentle with the throttle to stay in EV mode but if you're going to use the throttle generously, the engine will have to kick in and support the propulsion.
