Waiting 50 years for a bridge, the villagers of Punjab chief minister’s Chamkaur Sahib assembly segment still oar across the Satluj to reach their school, hospital, and home to avoid the long road from Ropar. Channi promised a bridge as far back as the 2007 elections.
