After a long spell of uncertainty, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav’s candidature was announced on Monday by the party for contesting the upcoming Uttar Pradesh (UP) assembly election. UP chief minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath’s name was already declared by the BJP on January 15. As both leaders enter the fray, some common links join the two.
