The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday proposed to increase the per transaction limit under Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The decision was announced by Reserve Bank governor Shaktikanta Das while revealing the outcome of the bi-monthly monetary policy meet.
